Icons & Bargains
I believe Style Icons are key to developing your own fashion identity. Follow their style, admire their taste but absolutely make it your own. For me, I admire many women, mostly strong, independent, classy women. Luckily my mum is one of the most beautifully dressed (and beautiful) women and I am constantly pinching items from her wardrobe! I think she cursed the day that my feet stopped growing and remained at her dinky size 4. She is the ultimate lover of a bargain, I'm not even sure if I remember her buying something without a discount! Always a good lesson. Another good lesson is it's not all about the price tag. In the winter my skin (as I'm sure many peoples' skin does) becomes dry and irritated. After much time (and money) spent trying out different lotions and potions my mum bought me the most wonderful body cream. Johnson's Baby Soothing Naturals Cream and I have never looked back. At the bargain price of £2.49 it is so worth it and all my friends are hooked! I am now a budding bargainista.
My First Post
My little cousin is my absolute style inspiration. At every family event we get together and discuss what fashions and items of clothing we are currently lusting after. We feel each others' pain, I am a student and she is a 13-year-old with a pocket money budget, I have to admit she does a lot better than me, her clothes are effortlessly chic and the items she chooses to buy are timeless. I decided to start a blog about our purchases, wants and loves. This first post is a bit of a confession. Despite having to pay the gas and virgin bills I have splurged on the Marc Jacobs iphone cover. I know, I know, it seems so wrong but the £30 price tag seemed such a reasonable price to have a piece of Marc to carry with me in my daily life! As a result of this purchase I am heading to work tonight as a guestlist girl on a night club door despite a raging sore throat and the harsh Scottish weather to make that 30 quid back...oh Marc what I do for you!
